I am offering for sale a hat from the legendary Italian brand Borsalino. The hat most likely dates from the 1950s–1960s and is made with exceptional quality. Inside the hat there is the inscription “Grand Prix Paris 1900”, which is a common feature of the highest-quality hats from this brand and commemorates Borsalino’s achievement of the Grand Prix title at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900. The company itself was founded in 1857.
It is fair to say that this hat is something of a Mercedes among hats. The color is particularly interesting, balancing between gray and black, leaning toward dark graphite or anthracite, which gives it a sense of seriousness and character.
As for flaws, some of the seams on the lining have slightly loosened, causing it to sit less firmly; nevertheless, it is still attached and presents no real problem (see last photo).
The hat is marked as size 4, however this refers to a very old sizing system, most likely an internal manufacturer’s scale. The actual inner circumference is approximately 52 cm. Unfortunately, the platform does not allow me to select such a small size.
