Maison Morreton, a major French hatmaker founded in 1863 in Chazelles-sur-Lyon, the historic home of fur felt.
It was one of the most reputable manufacturers in Europe, known for its noble felts (hare, beaver), natural waterproofness, and elegant models for a demanding clientele.

"Cocktail" model, a rarer and more refined line than the classic bowler hats.
Distributed at the time by the hatter Rondot (Lure), as indicated by the inner leather band, proof of a special order typical of the 1930s/40s.

Anthracite grey color, highly sought after at the time for elegant city wear, ceremonies, evenings, and premium models.
High-end fur felt (hare or beaver), typical of Morreton's productions from the 30s/40s.
Waterproof: water drops slide off.
Naturally water-repellent, ideal for all seasons.
