Rare Vintage Texas Hatters "Half-Breed" Cowboy Hat - Custom Made for Jan Arvid Johansen

Up for auction is an absolute piece of music and western craftsmanship history. This is an authentic, custom-made "Half-Breed" cowboy hat from the legendary Manny Gammage's Texas Hatters.
This specific piece was custom-tailored for the famous Norwegian folk musician and guitarist, Jan Arvid Johansen (1947–2017), a prominent member of the band Boknakaran.
Provenance: The inside genuine leather sweatband is beautifully gold-stamped with the artist’s name: "JAN ARVID JOHANSEN". It also features the iconic "Half-Breed by Manny" and "We Top The Best" Texas Hatters trademarks.
Design & Features: A stunning and highly unique vibrant royal blue felt brim paired with a ventilated open-weave straw crown. The hat features a unique folk-style woven hatband with red and blue golf tees tucked into the side—perfectly reflecting the artist's stage persona.
Condition: The felt brim, custom band, and inner leather are in excellent vintage condition. Please note: due to age, the natural straw crown has two symmetrical cracks/breaks on the front pinch (clearly shown in the photos). This is a common issue with vintage straw hats and makes this piece a perfect candidate for a display archive, music memorabilia collection, or professional restoration.
