Magnificent Lip INCABLOC automatic from 1960.

There is no model in this condition and perfectly functional today, to my knowledge.

Restored, mechanism revised. Correct power reserve; however, although the mechanism is restored, it can happen after a day of use that the time is slightly off if you no longer wear it on your wrist.

The metal is in magnificent condition, as is its mechanism which seems to have come straight from Besançon. The dial is in sapphire, the slightly yellowed background giving it a charming vintage effect.

The dial serial number is hand-engraved. The movement is protected by a double crown, one of which has a 6-notch closure, making it possible to open only with caution to avoid damaging the mechanism, which is therefore not visible.

The movement is nevertheless remarkable in view of the movement of the hand as well as its sound activity.

The strap is not original; it is a LAVAL in synthetic leather size 16 in a beautiful elegant brown and a stainless steel buckle for which maintenance standards must be respected.

It is imperative for such a model not to leave it exposed to humidity for too long; never immerse it in water or even take a shower while wearing it on the wrist. However, don't worry about splashes or rain, just wipe it with a dry microfiber cloth and leave it on your wrist.

Movement: LIP R23F - designed by the Besançon workshop, produced between 1955 and 1965, from B to H depending on their evolutions; this one being the 5th generation (out of 7). 

Technical characteristics:

• Caliber 10 1/2 " (23.3 mm) of common dimensions for the time
• 4.45 mm thick on the crown screw. 
• 6.10 mm high at the axis of the seconds hand, which makes the R23 "a good flat caliber". 

This also allows the use of waterproof cases, while maintaining a satisfactory overall thickness.

• Executed in 17 jewels, which ensure a drastic reduction in wear on the pivots and more efficient operation.

• Large diameter balance wheel (9.7 mm), equipped with the classic balance screws of the F version.

• Self-compensating flat balance spring. 

• Incabloc shock absorber on the balance staff pivots

• Direct central seconds hand / No date.

• Specific chamfering of the bridges and the baseplate which allows the use of curved and thin cases.
