1. Origin and Model
DSCP Garrison Collection: The acronym DSCP stands for Defense Supply Center Philadelphia. This is the organization that manages clothing for the US armed forces. The "Garrison Collection" is the standard line for garrison uniforms (non-combat).
Type: This is a "Coat, All Weather, Men's". It is the classic trench coat (often called "gabardine" due to its weave) used by the US Army for formal occasions or daily service in rainy weather.
2. Size and Dimensions
40R: This is the size. The 40 corresponds to the chest measurement (in inches, so about 101-102 cm). The R means "Regular", which corresponds to an average height (about 1m75 - 1m83).
The number 61 circled: This is often an inspection mark or a manufacturer/batch specific code.
3. Composition and Care
Material: 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton. This blend is ultra-resistant, windproof, and water-repellent.
Care: The label specifies "DRY CLEAN ONLY". This is important because machine washing could break the shoulder structure or damage the water-repellent treatment.
Technical note: It is mentioned that the coat must be re-treated for water repellency after each dry cleaning to maintain its properties.
4. Dating
Contract number: We can read SPM1C1-09-D-1070.
The number 09 generally indicates that the manufacturing contract dates from 2009. It is therefore a modern piece, designed with very high durability standards.
In summary: You own an official American military trench coat. It is an indestructible, very structured piece that offers a timeless look. It was manufactured by American Apparel, Inc. (not to be confused with the consumer fashion brand of the same name; this is an army supplier).
It is an excellent choice for a "heritage" or "military chic" style.
there is a broken button but spare buttons can be found inside the coat the belt is broken see photos for defects

1. Origine et Modèle
DSCP Garrison Collection : Le sigle DSCP signifie Defense Supply Center Philadelphia.
Type : C'est un "Coat, All Weather, Men's".
3. Composition et Entretien
Matière : 65% Polyester / 35% Coton. Ce mélange est ultra-résistant, coupe-vent et déperlant.
Entretien : L'étiquette précise "DRY CLEAN ONLY" (Nettoyage à sec uniquement).
