The Baracuta brand, based in Manchester, was founded in 1937 by the brothers John and Isaac Miller.

The following year, the leader of the Fraser clan, Lord Lovat XXIV of Beaufort Castle, granted them permission to use the iconic Fraser tartan for the lining of their classic G9 Harrington jacket.

In the spring of 2013, the Baracuta brand was acquired by the Italian company WP Lavori. Since then, the new owners have made some modifications to the classic jackets, using cutting-edge materials and creating a more contemporary fit.
