H. Huntsman & Sons Bespoke Savile Row Tweed Jacket 1992 – Gun Club Check – Made in England

A rare opportunity to acquire a fully bespoke sport coat from H. Huntsman & Sons, one of the most storied tailoring houses on Savile Row, hand-crafted over thirty years ago for a private client and preserved in exceptional condition.

The jacket is cut in a classic Gun Club Check tweed, woven in a warm biscuit ground with navy, rust and olive overchecks, a timeless British country cloth that has never gone out of fashion. The single-breasted silhouette carries Huntsman's signature structured shoulder and a commanding chest, hallmarks of the house's riding-coat heritage that set it apart from every other tailor on the Row.

Construction is entirely by hand throughout: a full floating canvas chest piece, hand-padded lapels, hand-stitched buttonholes, and the meticulous attention to pattern-matching across every seam that only true bespoke work demands. The natural-coloured lining is clean and intact.

The original bespoke label reads M.R. Warren · 19/6/92 · CH 30359/1, a personal commission entered into Huntsman's order books on the 19th of June, 1992. This is not a ready-to-wear or made-to-measure piece: it was conceived for a single individual, cut from scratch, and fitted across multiple appointments at 11 Savile Row.
