Superb loafers from the Italian shoemaker Rampin

Rampin was one of the last great Roman shoemakers. From the age of 6, he made shoes with his father. In the 1950s, he arrived in Rome and learned from the great shoemakers. Rome attracted the artists, directors, and aesthetes of the time with Cinecitta: Fellini, Visconti, Rosselini, De Sica, Delon, etc.

Rampin settled at 31 Via Quintillo Sella, not far from the legendary Gatto. For 70 years, he created handmade shoes of great finesse for celebrities and heads of state. He received several decorations, including the Order of Merit with the rank of Commander in 1997.

His expertise continues with Masahito Furuhuta, who also worked for Gatto, Messina, and Marini.

Superbes mocassins du bottier italien Rampin

Rampin fut l’un des derniers grands bottiers romains. Dès l’âge de 6 ans avec son père il réalise des souliers. Dans les années 50, il arrive à Rome et apprend auprès des grands bottiers. Rome attire les artistes, réalisateurs et esthètes de l’époque avec la Cinecitta: Fellini, Visconti, Rosselini, De Sica, Delon, etc.

Rampin s’installe au 31 Via Quintillo Sella, non loin du légendaire Gatto. Pendant 70 ans il créé à la main des souliers d’une grande finesse pour des célébrités et des chefs-d’Etat. Il obtient plusieurs décorations, dont l’Ordre du Mérite avec le rang de Commandeur en 1997.

Son savoir-faire continue avec Masahito Furuhuta, qui travailla aussi pour Gatto, Messina et Marini.
