Here’s an incredibly beautiful piece of art that I truly admire—a vintage Hermès "République Française" silk scarf. This iconic design, a classic 90cm (Carré 90) creation by artist Joachim Metz, embodies timeless elegance. Measuring approximately 35 x 35 inches, it’s a perfect square of luxury.

This particular version of the scarf is my favorite, thanks to its vibrant pink color combination that stands out beautifully. The scarf has been lovingly preserved, with no rips, tears, or significant damage. The only sign of wear is a few light dirt spots (as shown in the pictures), which should be easy to clean.

The design prominently features the central year "1789" alongside the French national motto: "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité." These elements are surrounded by stunning allegorical figures and symbols of the French Republic, showcasing an exquisite level of detail. Made from 100% silk twill, the scarf boasts hand-rolled edges—one of Hermès' renowned hallmarks of craftsmanship.
