Rare Christian Dior top-handle bag from the John Galliano era, in his equestrian style — the signature gold snaffle-bit clasp across the front is engraved "Dior."

Structured bowler/frame silhouette in a black woven body with python trim on the handles, top frame, piping and gussets, gold-tone hardware throughout.

Date code 09-RU-1027, corresponding to December 2007 production.

Condition — described honestly so there are no surprises:
• Hardware is clean, bright and tight, no plating loss; the engraved snaffle bit is crisp.
• Woven body is sound — no holes, fraying or sagging.
• Handle is solid along its length, with intact whipstitch lacing.
• The python trim shows some age: scales are lifting and drying in places, with the original black worn back to brown on the top frame edge, piping, and especially the side gusset, plus minor splitting where the handle meets the base. This is vintage wear on a 17-year-old exotic skin and is expected.

A characterful collector's piece from a sought-after Galliano-Dior period. Comes from a smoke-free home. no extras included.
