Talbots

Multicolour

Vintage Talbots wrap stole or scarf and tote bag set. Best kept together as a set, dates approximately to Christmas 2008-2009. Coordinating pieces, thick wool and leather-trimmed tote and long cashmere scarf, wide enough for a wrap.

Tote:
- Tartan plaid in colors Red, Blue, Black, Purple, and Green.
- Long, double shoulder straps, leather, brown
- Exterior patch pocket cut on the bias adds visual interest, secures with a goldtone snap button
- Goldtone hardware grommets, top zipper, and pocket snap
- Top closes by zipper and facing leather trimmed
- Large internal open compartment
- One broad internal zippered compartment
- Two open side-by-side slip pockets inside too, wide 4.5 inches each
- Four-inch wide gusseted leather bottom, brown, measuring 4 x 12 inches, tapers to top
- Lined in a sturdy khaki tan twill
- Overall, measures 15.5 inches wide by 13.5 inches high with width at base a maximum of 4.5 inches
- Exterior snap patch pocket measures 8 inches wide by 7.5 inches high

Wrap Scarf:
- Big and super soft
- Measures 18 inches wide by 80 inches long
- Tartan plaid in colors coordinating with Tote — Red, Blue, Black, Purple, and a subtler Green (subtly owing to brushed finish)
- Soft brushed cashmere, double face brushed on both sides. Although content tag is missing, it is cashmere.
- Texture and fabrics of Wrap and Tots are quite different. Plaid pattern same. Wrap scarf is far softer than Tote; Tote’s fabric is a sturdy, scratchier, wool blend, yet the 2 pieces are meant to complement each other (in a decidedly not too matchy-matchy way)
