Extremely rare and striking vintage Marithé François Girbaud Cravatakiller hybrid blazer / coat in black.

This piece features an incredibly unusual two-layer construction, combining a structured tailored blazer with a lightweight technical coat section underneath. The upper part has a sculptural high collar, deep front construction, three-button closure and large asymmetric flap pockets, while the lower section flows freely from the waist and creates a dramatic layered silhouette.

When worn, the two parts create an almost blazer-meets-trench / cape-like silhouette, with the lightweight lower fabric moving beautifully around the body. The contrast between the structured upper section and the crinkled technical nylon gives the piece a very distinctive avant-garde, futuristic and architectural look.

The back is equally impressive, with the tailored upper section transitioning into the wide flowing lower panel. Long sleeves and the oversized collar complete the dramatic silhouette.
