Les élégantes Limougeaudes sont toutes passées chez Beaune. 

Le magasin, qui célèbre cette année son 57 e anniversaire fermera définitivement ses portes début décembre. 

Jacques Beaune et Claudine, la modéliste, ont décidé de prendre leur retraite.

En fait, si on y regarde bien, on peut dire que le magasin est plus que centenaire.

Antoine Beaune a racheté cette boutique en 1954 à Monsieur Spoor, lui-même installé depuis cinquante ans dans le quartier de la gare.

Une styliste de talent jusqu’en 1998, la boutique n'a pas quitté l'avenue du Général-de-Gaulle où elle a passé cinq décennies.

Installée au 21, rue Othon-Péconnet, l'enseigne, placé depuis plus de trente ans sous la direction de Jacques Beaune, mettait l'accent sur le confort et la qualité. 

Claudine, il est vrai, a apporté sa touche personnelle. 

Modéliste, formée à l'École supérieure de couture de la rue Saint-Roch à Paris, elle a mis son talent et sa compétence au service de cette maison spécialisée dans le cuir, les peaux lainées, les fourrures et les premiers à offrir la garde de fourrure moderne telle que nous le connaissons aujourd'hui avec les caractéristiques suivantes:

-2-12°Celsius (35-50°Fahrenheit) est optimal, mais toute température inférieure à 12°C (55°F) est bonne.

-Humidité contrôlée entre 45 et 55%

-U.V. exposition au minimum à la lumière

-Espace aéré pour chaque vêtement.

C'est dans cet établissement renommé qu'Yves Saint-Laurent a fait ses classes.
