Versions of this exceptional and extremely rare F/W 1989/90 Issey Miyake 
 hooded suit not only made appearances on the catwalk and in the 1989 
 international Fiat Uno advertisement, but were also photographed [[ 2]] by Irving Penn and Yuriko Takagi AND worn by the inimitable Grace Jones. The costume is made of the typical finely pleated poly
 fabric in metallic anthracite and includes a long skirt and long sleeve top
 with the iconic super-wide hood that can be worn up or down. the bottom. The 
 expertly worked horizontal pleats allow a variety of shapes to be created 
 when the costume is worn, for example with the top inside or outside the skirt - [[2] ] please see the pictures to get an idea. Both pieces pull on for wear; 
 the skirt has an elasticated waistband. 100% polyester, unlined. Made in 
 Japan. Undoubtedly one of Issey Miyake's most iconic designs 
 and super rare - we've never seen a hooded version of these suits on the market 
. Two similar cowlless sets from Miyake's 1989/90 F/W collection 
 are held by the Costume 
 Institute of the New York Metropolitan Museum. Important pieces by Issey Miyake reliably fetch five-figure prices
