For lightness, technical brilliance and jaw-dropping excitement, Alber Elbaz's Spring 2008 collection was one of the most uplifting spectacles of the 2010s and undoubtedly his design career (Elbaz died in 2021). , color, practicality and a sort of soaring simplicity that elicited a visceral response from every woman, VOGUE wrote. It has also been remarked that few words, indeed, are equal in describing the drama of pleated dresses that billowed into moving overhead trains – one each in cobalt, green, yellow and red.

 This is one of the original Spring 2008 dresses. Sarah Jessica Parker wore this dress in an editorial for New York Magazine.

An exceptionally rare collector's item. It's a dress that doesn't come around often, as a lot of the original owners don't want to give them up.

It is worthy of a museum or an archivist's private collection.

The color is very difficult to grasp. It is a bright poppy red that is a cross between red and orange.

Good condition with lots of life.

There is slight wear to the outer material including a few pulls/rips and some light marks/stains. I photographed the worst examples. Due to the dramatic volume of the dress, these are not as noticeable when worn.

The dress has an inner silk lining. The inner lining has 2 holes near the bottom. These can easily be repaired by an expert tailor and are not visible from the outside. There is also some wear to the bottom hem, including some light dirt spots and one of the steamers that has had some stress (pictured).
