Roland Klein, gorgeous vintage early 80s cropped jacket.  Made in London, 50% Wool and 15% Cotton (see the hand written composition label!).  Beautiful hand stitched velvet applique on front and arround cuff.  Velvet collar and cuff trim.  I have looked after this jacket and it shows no real signs of wear, it was recently cleaned.  Roland Klein (b. 1938) first worked at Christian Dior in 1960-62. He then went to work for Karl Lagerfeld as an assistant at Patou. Klein went to London in 1965, where he worked at Marcel Fenez. In 1973 he was made the director of the house, and was given his own label. In 1979, Klein opened his own design business.  This jacket is a beautiful piece of wearable history.
