Purple

Beautiful vintage Japanese kimono in a refined muted purple tone, featuring a highly detailed scenic landscape with snow-covered trees, distant hills and traditional Japanese architecture.

The landscape has a soft painted quality, with subtle shading and delicate colour transitions that give the design depth and a very atmospheric, almost picture-like appearance. The cool blue, pale pink, white and grey-green tones contrast beautifully against the purple background, creating a calm, elegant and sophisticated look.

The scenic decoration appears to feature painted or Yuzen-style detailing, giving the kimono a particularly artistic and handcrafted feel.

Approximate measurements

* Length: approx. 155 cm
* Back width: approx. 58 cm
* Sleeve length from centre back to cuff: approx. 66 cm
* Sleeve depth: approx. 44.5 cm

Based on the overall proportions, I would estimate that it may suit around an international size S–M, depending on body shape and preferred fit. Please compare the measurements with a garment you already own before purchasing.

Condition
Overall in excellent vintage condition.

During a general visual inspection, I did not notice any major stains, tears or obvious damage. The kimono presents very beautifully overall and has been well preserved.

As this is a vintage garment, however, there may still be very small age-related marks, storage traces or hidden imperfections that are difficult to detect with the naked eye. No major flaws are currently visible.

A very beautiful piece for wearing, collecting, styling, photography, display or anyone who appreciates Japanese scenic textiles and vintage craftsmanship.
