P.K An American designer born in Mississippi, who moved to Paris in the 80s. He became the prodigy that the entire fashion world watched.
The 1st American designer admitted to the Chambre Syndicale du Prêt-à-Porter Parisien
He plays with codes, brilliantly subverts symbols, and rehabilitates often caricatured elements of Black culture to make them into power and beauty.
He was avant-garde in the deep sense of the term.
He died very young (1990), which froze his work and made each piece rarer, more meaningful, and more sought after.

Today, PK is studied, exhibited, and reissued in major fashion circles. The Brooklyn Museum dedicated a major exhibition to him, “Runway of Love”.
