Perry Ellis

Black

A rare and collectible vintage Perry Ellis black silk blazer from the late 1980s. This blazer is a runway-derived design from Perry Ellis’s Fall 1987 Ready-to-Wear collection, adapted for retail and produced for Bergdorf Goodman, as noted on the internal tag. The same tailoring design appeared on the Fall 1987 runway in multiple colorways, including a lighter-toned version worn by Christy Turlington. This example represents the black silk retail execution of that runway design.

Crafted from 100% silk, the blazer features polished onyx-style buttons and dramatic structured shoulder pads, hallmarks of late-1980s Perry Ellis minimalist tailoring. The silhouette is single-breasted with a notched lapel and wide sleeves, creating a timeless yet powerful shape that remains highly wearable today.

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition, with no major flaws to note.

Estimated measurements (flat lay, buttoned):
