Spring Summer 2021 collection - Re-Nylon gabardine cape

Raf Simons team up with Miuccia Prada as co-creative director at Prada and launched their debut collection on 24th September 2020. 

Starting from an exploration of the uniform concept, Prada reinvents the construction of outerwear to reduce clothes to the bare essentials and introduces «The Wrap», a precise rectangle of fabric, deconstructed and presented in the Spring Summer 2021 fashion show wrapped around the body and held close to the chest with one hand. The design accented with the hood is made of Re-Nylon Gabardine: a regenerated nylon yarn (ECONYL®) produced from recycled and purified plastic trash collected in the ocean, fishing nets, and textile fiber waste.

Raf Simons s'associe à Miuccia Prada en tant que co-directrice créative de Prada et lance sa première collection le 24 septembre 2020. 
[ [2]]À partir d'une exploration du concept d'uniforme, Prada réinvente la construction de vêtements d'extérieur pour réduire les vêtements à l'essentiel et présente « The Wrap », un rectangle de tissu précis, déconstruit et présenté dans le défilé printemps été 2021 enveloppé autour du corps et tenu près de la poitrine avec une main. Le design accentué par la capuche est en Re-Nylon Gabardine : un fil de nylon régénéré (ECONYL®) produit à partir de déchets plastiques recyclés et purifiés collectés dans l'océan, de filets de pêche et de déchets de fibres textiles.
