Dior 2 by Christian Dior Vintage Rose Print Cotton Shell Top – GFT Made in Italy – IT 42

Rare vintage Dior 2 by Christian Dior shell top, produced in Italy during the celebrated Gruppo GFT era, approximately late 1980s to mid-1990s.
A beautiful example of Dior’s romantic ready-to-wear diffusion period, this piece features a painterly cabbage rose floral print arranged in vertical bands of crimson, ochre, burnt orange, pink and smoky grey. The print has a soft art-school, almost hand-painted quality, giving it a very collectible late-80s / early-90s European designer feel.
The construction is much more elevated than a simple cotton top. The outer fabric is 100% cotton, while the interior is fully lined in an acetate and cupro-rayon blend, giving the garment more structure, opacity and drape. This type of fully lined cotton shell is a beautiful old-world ready-to-wear detail rarely seen in modern high-street pieces.
Minimal cap-sleeve silhouette with a wide neckline, lightly structured body and elegant clean finish. Easy to style with black tailored trousers, a silk skirt, vintage denim, or under a blazer for a collector/editorial look.
