ESCADA Vintage Ivory & Black Silk Button Print Shirt SZ12 Oversized NWT.
Escada made wonderfully inventive novelty tops and jackets in the 1980s and '90s. This unique shirt from around 1990 features a delightful 100% silk faille fabric completely covered with ivory-colored buttons on a black background. The shirt has a classic shirt collar and long sleeves with one-button shirt cuffs. The back of the collar and button placket are lined in black silk charmeuse. The shirt is nicely tapered through the torso with long darts in front and back. Both the Escada and retailer's hang tags are still attached to this brand new shirt showing a retail price of $810 in 1990 dollars; I dread to think what the price would be in today's dollars. Labeled German size 42, which is considered equivalent to US size 12; measurements indicate the shirt runs large so will probably have an oversized fit. Please rely on the measurements to determine actual actual size and compare with a similar garment that fits you.
