Marithe Francois Girbaud Womens White Button Shirt W/Chain Size IT 48

This beautiful white button up shirt is designed by the dynamic, trend-setting husband and wife team Marithe & Francois Girbaud from France. It is a vintage shirt made in the early 2000's. This shirt stands on its own or looks great under a blazer, such as the tan crinkled blazer I posted here earlier.

There are unique features to this shirt such as the neck closure. The collar is elongated, not meant to fit tight on the neck and is embelished with a chain supporting a metal head with almost invisible nylon fliament threads sprouting from th shirt collars button holes, very subtle, but part of M&F Girbauds humour. I have pictured the underside of the collar where you fasten and unfasten the chain.

The shirt sleeves are fairly long with a long 3 button cuff. The cuff can be unbuttoned and turned back over the end of a jacket sleeve or just turned back to form a faux french cuff and then the top 2 buttns re-buttoned. Many options!

It is sized as an Italian 48 which translates to an American size 12. It is fitted at the waist and depending on the frame it could be worn by a women who is size 10 or 12.

It is made in Italy and is 100% cotton. It is hand-washable or dry-cleaned. The chain needs to come off before cleaning.
