PRADA by Miuccia Prada
Vintage / Archive Spring 1998 Runway Collection: Catwalk Exit 36
Short transparent sleeveless gold mesh sweater with contrasting red stitching
Size 46 IT
78% Acetate, 22% Polyester

Iconic piece from the late 90s Prada. This sweater has a loose knit and raw edges designed to loosen and fray. The edges are intended to have a “degrading” effect over time – an evolution that can only come with love and wear from the owner. The red contrast stitching at the hems is there to prevent fraying beyond a certain point.

Slim and short cut. The material is semi-transparent.

It looks great worn as a top, or can be layered over a slip dress.

Good condition. Minimal pull on the knit. Frayed around neck, shoulders/armpits and bottom. There is particularly heavy wear (almost to the red stitching) on the left armpit. Again, the knitting has been left raw apart from the red stitches for a deliberately demeaning effect. Therefore, this wear is completed as intended in the design.

Shoulder to shoulder ~14.5 inches. Armpit to armpit ~16.25 inches. Length ~16 inches (front, center).

High-quality vintage pieces like this are yours to live and love while appreciating their value each year. It's never too early to start collecting them, as an investment in your wardrobe and in yourself.
