Other

An exceptionally rare pair of Christian Dior by John Galliano runway sandals from the acclaimed Spring/Summer 2009 Ready-to-Wear collection, featured in Looks 1 and 11 of the official Vogue Runway archive.

Featuring Galliano’s iconic sculptural heels, often referred to by collectors as the “Fertility Goddess” heels, these extraordinary sandals are among the most recognisable footwear designs produced during his tenure at Dior. The design combines dramatic black sculptural heels with metallic braided straps, black leather ankle straps and a striking black and ivory textured platform, resulting in one of the house’s most memorable runway shoes.

These sandals were featured in multiple runway looks (Looks 1 and 11) in the official Vogue Runway archive for the Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2009 Ready-to-Wear show, underscoring their significance within the collection.

Highly sought after by collectors of archival Dior and John Galliano, examples of this design rarely appear on the market.

Condition

These sandals were worn once for only a few hours and have been carefully stored ever since.

They remain in excellent pre-owned condition, with only light wear to the leather soles consistent with a single wear. The uppers, straps, sculptural heels and footbeds present beautifully.

Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
